School Placement Update

   Throughout the semester, I have been going to a school placement in a local middle school. I have been working in an ELL classroom along with another student in our class. We have been observing four students along with their teacher. In the classroom, the students work on reading and projects related to their readings. They also get time to work on homework that they may have questions about. I have noticed that it has taken time for the students to get familiar with us, but since I go to my placement twice a week, they have been warming up to us a lot faster than I originally expected. The students are very proficient in their English skills, but still are in need of assistance. I have loved working with them and always look forward to my school placements. I'm excited to see what is in store for the rest of my semester with these students and I am excited to get to know them more!
